Bush Fuchsia
Flower essences 15 ml
(Epacris longiflora)
Bush Fuchsia thrives in sunny, dry, sandy or limestone regions. The shrub can grow up to three metres high. Bush fuchsias have shiny, very thin, long, hard leaves along the stem. The flowers are long bell-shaped bright red with five petals and a white tip. In early spring, the dramatic colours of Bush Fuchsia liven up the colourless, dry landscape.
Aborigines prize native Fuchsia highly for healing a broad spectrum of complaints. It’s one of the few plants they find worthwhile to dry and store. They use about nine different varieties for treatments. The most important species are Eremophila alternifolia, Eremophila duttonii, Eremophila freelingii and Eremophila longifolia.
