Mountain Devil Flower Essences

Only one of the 10 species of the Lambertia, is common to New South Wales, the rest are native to Western Australia. This erect, bushy shrub grows over 2 metres high with a diameter of over 1.5 metres. Mountain Devil likes well-drained soil and a sunny position. It grows companionably with many other plant varieties. The Mountain Devil’s crimson and shocking pink flowers look dramatic against the long narrow blades of the leaves.
The Aborigines suck the flowers for the sweet nectar.
